Faith and Theology: Me on Tillich

As a part of Ben Myer's series of why we love theologians, my text on Paul Tillich appeared the other day. Have a look. The rest of the series is coming along nicely as well!

  1. Thanks for your contribution - I enjoyed it. Am still yet to get into Tillich in any depth. Where would you recommend starting?

  2. Most people recommed the sermons: the Shaking of Foundations, The New Being, The Eternal Now. I haven't read those very much actually.

As I said, I read the Courage to be first. It is his phlosophy of religion in a very readable version.

You can find his English bibliography here.

  3. Oh, one more thing. Tillich is very fun to read. I secretly think this is the reason why he has been so critisized. :)

And thanks for the references. I'll get to them one day...

  5. Patrik,

I enjoyed your take on Tillich.

His Theology of Culture is nice book of essays ranging across a number of topics.
