The Jesus Tomb
Weekend Fisher has devoted maybe a bit more effort than it merits to the "Jesus tomb" hype. But his posts sum up well why this nonsense is - yes nonsense. A strange way to celebrate easter the media has developed...
Yeah, every year somewhere in Lent or at Eastertide another kooky voice trying to debunk the resurrection and/or claim that Jesus was married and had kids. Sheesh!
I trust your PhD is going well. I am in the process of finishing up mine (God willing!). I agree with you that the Jesus tomb/family story is a lot of nonsense. On the positive side we can look at such developments as an opportunity for apologetics. The Fisher articles look helpful as were articles by Witherington and Bock which I commented on.
