Interview with me

Michael L. Westmoreland-White has posted an interview with me at his blog. Check it out (you can find out the well kept secret of my denominational background, among other things), and support his Christian Peace Blogger initiative!

Patrik,

This was an interesting interview. As a missionary, I was particularly intrigued by the fact that you belong to a Swedish speaking Baptist association in Finland. Any particular reason why the association is Swedish speaking? For example, is there a significant Swedish subculture/immigrant culture living in Finland? Or is Swedish just widely used as a second language there?

There is a Swedish speaking minority in Finland to which I belong. We make up about six percent of the population, and Swedish-speaking people have lived in Finland as long as Finnish-speaking people. Nation-states after all is a fairly recent invention.

Interesting! Thanks for the clarification.

Patrik,

I don't have anything constructive to say, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed reading your interview. Thanks.

Also I thought you might want to check out Don Francisco's Homepage. I've always loved his music.

Patrik, it was a great interview and people are still talking about it. Ben Myers gave it a plug over at Faith and Theology--THE great theo-blog.
