Not because I necesserily agree with Hick but someone has to make the inclusivist case. And Ratzinger may be great theologian, (among other things), but his attitude against his old friend Rahner gives Radford Ruether the point.

I don't feel I know enough about Ruether to be decisive on the second one, but Ratzinger's influence is well-established, not least through his treatment of the South American liberation theologians. Guess this raises an important criteriological issue: am I voting for my favourite, or for most influential? On this game, I'm just going for influence.
