Sölle

OK, Moltmann is rather obvious, being the gradfather of all things political in modern theology.

Sölle, because of seeing the connection between mysticism and politics and because she never got to become professor in Germany.

Cone

Soelle

Cone is a sentimental favourite; I also think he's a great theologian, but I suspect he will be lost in a landslide to Moltmann.

Torrance

Torrance is one of the greatest theologians of our time. He deserves much more attention than he has been given.

Moltmann (Cone is essential but i suppose Moltmann is more influential).

Soelle (Soelle has some of the most beautiful writing I have ever read. "The Silent Cry" is one of the most eloquent books I own.

T. F. Torrance

No matter Cone's bravery, little chance against Jürgen.
Sölle may well have elegance (Torrance has to be up there for some of the worst theological prose of the 20thC - at least in English - I don't want to go near other languages on this issue), but the Torrance family (and particularly T. F.) are unmissable in the English-speaking world as the primary mediators of Barth. T. F. helped translate the English Dogmatics and Barth virtually designated Tom to carry the flame in his absence (at least in the Anglosphere).

Moltmann (Cone is a better theologian, but can't compete for influence)

Moltmann is approaching a landslide victory with 14 - 2 so far.

In the other game TOrrence has a minimal lead with 8 - 7. This one is still open!
